The late Vince Gironda, a legend in bodybuilding circles, had some eccentric opinions. It’s said that his gym in Studio City, California was devoid of free weight squat racks because he believed squatting exercises only created “turnip thighs” and a big ****. Well, what on earth is wrong with thighs that are big near the top (as long as it’s muscular size) and a booty that has a protruding contour? These are muscles as deserving of respect and attention as any other. And in the case of the gluteus maximus; it possesses the potential to carry more power and size than any other muscle in the body.
